Yahoo! Mobile

Yahoo Mobile -- yet another time sink for Palmheads. Actually, I think it's kinda cool. If they'd only cater a little more to Mac users... seems hardly anybody even acknowledges the Mac-Palm user's existence.

don't know how long this has been out, but apparently Napster swallowed Macster

BBC News | EDUCATION | Quake blows away design problems

I was saying like two years ago that the Quake engine would be terrific for building 3D / virtual environments for other things besides games. But I never told the right people :-) (or I wasn't the right messenger ... anyway)

Some of the most amazing architecture is done by game level designers... some of it beautiful and brilliantly balanced for gameplay...these people could so easily become 'real' architects (or info architects). Here's a nice article at BBC about how the industry is catching on to the idea. (I snagged this link from ::sunday, october 22::

Dome-O-Rama!

Nifty halloween goodies 4 your computer (mostly backgrounds and stuff, but nicely made). [via Iconfactory]

eGroups : iabp

Just 24 hours ago, I created a new 'e-group' for Information Architects to be able to discuss and share blueprint methods and examples. It already has 44 members, and counting. But so far, no messages (!) just one .gif file. Here's hoping it ends up being useful. I think part of the problem may be that folks don't know what is ok to post, since there are so many legal entanglements, NDA's and such involved in so many projects. But hopefully we'll be able to share info in spite of all those "semi-realworld" concerns. Check it out, linked from title above.

Strange Connections | Big Architect, Little Architect

These Argus guys just keep churning out the coolest stuff. This article is from July but I just now discovered it. Excellent discussion of the different sides of the spectrum for an Info Architect.
