Weird Words: Mugwump

Not quite what William Burroughs pictured, but interesting nonetheless. This site (WorldWideWords.org) is a terrific language reference.

1979 Formatted U. S. Book of Common Prayer

The whole darn thing. I wonder if it'll fit on my Palm?

Question Answered: here's the whole thing in iSilo format.

PalmInfocenter: Review: FX100 Flexible Keyboard

Am I the only one who thinks this looks like something out of a David Cronenberg movie?

Corbin Sparrow

It's the tiny car that looks like a newage electric razor. And about as big too.

Cartoonbank.com - Search Results - George Booth

George Booth is a genius. Here's 32 pages of his sad freaks and warped dogs.

Lane on Tenenbaums

While I'm covertly blogging hidden NY'ker archives, here's Anthony Lane's review of The Royal Tenenbaums.

Denby on Altmanr

First of all, cool!...the printer-friendly pages at The New Yorker website apparently do behave as a kind of "permalink" (until they screw them up, I'm sure). Nice to have the option, since they otherwise just take the content down and don't provide any other links to archives. Anyway, here's Denby (who hated Fight Club, so I still can't totally trust him) on Altman's latest. Sounds like Altman might have made his obligatory one-fine-movie-out-of-5-duds for the decade?

Wallace and Gromit hit the Web

Nick Park is back at it, and the dog and his man are going to be cybersavvy. 12 1-minute films!

mulletsgalore.com

The trademark haircut of the heartland has its own website.

Opensecrets.org--Money in politics data

Some decent coverage of the current Enron debacle, from a non-partisan, non-corporate news source.

Betty Bowers is a Better Christian Than You

She's a church lady on steroids...meet Betty!

A few minutes after the post directly below: Wow, that was actually quite amazing. It posted my comments in about 2-3 seconds!! Here's the URL for the script: www.webentourage.com

Blogscript: Today, I'm trying out something new called "blogscript" for OS X. It supposedly will take the text I'm typing into Stickies right now and post it to my blog using XML-RPC. So, here's the first post with it, and let's see how it goes! (I'm probably going to have to do something about formatting, though.)

INDUSTORIOUS CLOCK ||| MONO*CRAFTS3.0

Has to be the best online clock ever.

IAwiki: ProtoTypes

I've been gone on vacation for a couple of weeks, and spending the last week catching up on work. So the blog has gotten a little sluggish. Not that I have a huge throng of readers. Maybe if I would be more IA-centric, I'd be able to attract more readers? You know, from folks like those on the very very busy sig-ia list (don't have link handy) and the sometimes-busy iawiki, linked above. The thing is, everybody else, especially Michael "jibbajabba" Angeles at iaslash, is already saying everything, it seems, right after I think it (and often before). Hmmm. At least I got a chance to add a few things to the iawiki page on prototyping before somebody else did! Hah!
